FRACTIONAL OPERATOR

Part-time leadership for the work you can't do alone.

Sometimes you don't need advice — you need someone to actually run a piece of the business with you. Fractional operator engagements are hands-on, embedded into your operations, and scoped to specific outcomes. Think of it as a part-time COO or operations leader, with senior operating experience but at fractional cost.

— What it includes —

- Direct involvement in your operations (not just advice)

- Defined scope and measurable outcomes

- Weekly working sessions

- Async availability for in-progress decisions

- Documentation of systems and processes built

— Pricing —

Fractional Foundation: $5,000/mo (~10–15 hrs/mo, biweekly involvement) — best for $1M+ businesses

Fractional Embedded: $8,500/mo (20+ hrs/mo, weekly involvement) — best for $2M+ businesses

— Best fit for —

Businesses that need senior operating capability but can't justify a full-time hire. Common scenarios: founder needs to step out of operations, leadership transition, post-acquisition integration, scaling past founder-led operations.

Acquisition Advisory

Acquisition Advisory

Buying or selling a business is among the most consequential decisions an operator makes. We help on both sides of the table — sourcing and evaluating targets, structuring deals, navigating diligence, and preparing businesses to attract the right buyer. This isn't theoretical M&A advisory. It's practical guidance from someone who has actually sat in both chairs.

— Buy-side engagement includes —

- Target identification and evaluation

- Financial analysis and deal modeling

- Diligence coordination and risk assessment

- Deal memo preparation

- Financing structure (SBA, seller note, private debt)

- Negotiation support through close

- Post-close integration planning

— Sell-side engagement includes —

- Pre-sale business readiness assessment

- Financial cleanup and documentation

- Business packaging for buyers

- Broker selection and management

- Negotiation support

- Closing process navigation

— Pricing —

Sub-$500K deals: $15,000 fixed fee

$500K–$2M deals: $25,000 fixed fee

$2M+ deals: 2–4% of deal value

Optional success fee on sell-side: 2% of close above asking

— Best fit for —

Operators considering their first acquisition, owners preparing to sell within 12-24 months, or buyers/sellers who want practical guidance without the full investment-bank price tag.

BY INVITATION

Strategic Partnership

For select clients whose work and trajectory align with our long-term thesis, we may structure engagements that combine reduced advisory fees with equity participation. This isn't a standard service offering — it's a relationship that develops over time, built on demonstrated mutual fit and aligned interests.

Partnership engagements are not solicited. They emerge from existing advisory relationships where the work has proven the partnership.

— What this looks like in practice —

Initial engagement typically begins as standard advisory or fractional operator work. After 6–12 months of demonstrated fit, partnership terms may be discussed — combining reduced advisory fees with equity stakes structured through One Chaptr Group.

— Who this is for —

Operators building durable, growing businesses who value a long-term strategic partner over a transactional advisor. We invest selectively, and only in clients we've already worked with.

To explore whether your business may be a fit, the path starts the same as every other engagement: a Discovery Call.

THE NETWORK

For everything outside our lane — a curated team you can trust.

We're strategic advisors first. For specialized work outside that lane — legal, accounting, marketing, design, HR, technology, and more — we connect clients to a curated network of vetted specialists across 16 categories. You get one trusted point of contact, and a whole team behind you.

— Why a network and not a one-stop shop —

We've watched too many small businesses get burned by "we do everything" firms that are excellent at one thing and mediocre at the rest. Our network is built differently: each specialist is the best in their narrow lane, vetted on real engagements, and held accountable to a standard of work we'd accept in our own businesses.

— The 16 categories —

- Marketing

- Capital / Investment

- Nonprofit Formation & Strategy

- Branded Apparel & Merch

- Insurance

- Real Estate

- Banking

- Financial Planning

- Legal

- Web Development

- Bookkeeping

- CPA / Tax / Accounting

- Graphic Design

- HR / Payroll

- IT / Technology Support

- Photography & Video

— How it works —

When an engagement uncovers a need outside our advisory lane, we make a warm introduction to the network specialist most suited to your situation. You hire them directly; we make sure the work lands well. We don't take undisclosed referral fees from our network — anything we earn is transparent to you upfront.

How we charge — and how we don't.

We bill by fixed fee or monthly retainer. Never by the hour. The reason is simple: hourly billing rewards consultants for slow work. Fixed billing rewards us for solving your problem efficiently — and for being honest when the work is done.
Most engagements start with a free 30-minute discovery call to confirm fit. From there, we either propose a 90-day diagnostic (fixed fee, written deliverable) or a tailored retainer based on the scope you actually need. We don't sell engagements that aren't right for you.
Pricing scales with the work, not with the time. If we can solve a problem in two months that we initially scoped for four, we don't extend the engagement — we close it cleanly and stay available when the next thing comes up.
